Question

InDesign (Mac) won't open files - creates lock file and says file already open

Hi. I have just upgraded InDesign to v15 via Creative Cloud and this issue has started every time I try to open a stored file from my NAS server. I have used the same iMac/NAS setup for years and never had this issue. Whenever I try to open a file from within InDesign it I get the can't open/no permission/already in use message and in Browser you can see a new lock file has been created even though the file never opened. If I delete the lock file and try again, same thing. But if I open the INDD doc from Browser it opens as normal.

Anyone else finding this? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

OS: Mojave 10.14.6

Additional to above.

The problem seems to only be happening when trying to open/save files on the NAS. When I try it with the iMac hard drive its fine. But, all other Adobe products (Photoshop/Illustrator/Acrobat) are working fine as normal with the NAS in all the same directories I'm using with Indesign, so it's definitely something to do with InDesign.
