InDesign not loading installed fonts

Hello,

I'm running the latest version on InDesign on a MacBook Pro. A file i worked on last week, now won't load the font I was using (Bliss 2). It appears 'pinked out' and the dialogue box says it's not installed.

FontBook now doesn't 'see' any of my 3rd party fonts, but if I try and re-install them, it says that they are already there. I can Duplicate, or Skip, but the 'Replace' function is greyed out on the dialogue box.

I tried Illustrator and it seems to have no problem at all seeing them.

Any suggestions to fix it very welcome.

Thank you.

Did you bother to try what I suggested?

I had to wait to get my 'permissions'

upgraded from our ICT department. Just going to try now.

I think you need to licence Bliss – Bliss 2 doesn't seem available anymore as it may be a type 1 font.

I see indvidual Bliss fonts cost £80 each – ouch!

From the foundry:
"Where’s Bliss 2? When we moved all our fonts to the OpenType format in 2004, several of the typefaces had a ‘2’ added to their font menu name. This was originally done to avoid confusion with the older versions as well as any potential clashes when used across Mac and Windows. The typefaces affected were Aspect, Bliss, Enigma and Shaker. In early 2016 we cleaned up the names and removed the ‘2’. The fonts themselves remain the same. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us https://typography.net/

Latest version tells us nothing. What is the full version and build of InDesign? What is the full version and build of your operating system and finally, where did you get that font from?

Is it, as Derek mentions, a Type 1 font? If so, you will have to replace it. If it's a Truetype or Opentype font, try putting them in the private InDesign\Fonts folder and see if that works. You can also try creating a Document fonts folder in the folder containing the InDesign file and copying them there for use with that single file.
