InDesign Page Content Missing

Greetings!  I have a situation where I can see the thumbnail of an InDesign file in my startup workspace, but when I open the file there are only a few placeholders.  The .jpgs, .pngs, and text are all missing, but the empty frames are there.  The status bar shows no errors.  The file opened and "behaved" fine the past few days, but today it is not.

Thanx,

Jay

Maybe your file got corrupted?

Try IDMLing - export as IDML, open, save with a new name - do not overwrite your original file.

Hey Jay,

Check this:

Preferences > Display Performance > Options > Default View > High Quality

Preferences > Display Performance > Adjust View Settings > High Quality

These might be accidentally set to Fast (which means you don't see any graphics; just a gray box.)

Or check on View > Display Performance > and make sure it is set to High Quality
