indesign page numbering and columns

Question

I am trying to create a parent page in indesign that only adds the page number to all the pages. When I currently do it, it also changes the grids I have on certain pages. Is there a wasy to do this so that it only adds the page numbers and doesnt change anything else?

You might try to go to the Pages panel and drag the page icon that has the grids (custom guides?) up and into the area where the Parent pages live. Now you have made a new parent page. Double click onto that parent page and add the "Current Page Number" marker. Make as many parent pages as you like. But of course, simplify your custom grid lines where you can.
