You're talking about paths to placed files ?

Maybe there's a more simple solution.

When those paths are not valid anymore, you can select one or all missing files in the Links panel and chose the second command in the side menu (my screenshot is in Dutch but you'll probably find it). This will give you the option to point to the new folder, for all similar paths. Even choosing and redirecting just one file, will probably prompt you to check for any other files as well.

Of course this only works for one folder at at time, so if you haven't collected all files (e.a. by using Package) into one folder before the links were broken, you need to do this for each folder, or prepare this action by manually moving all images into one folder.

Hope this helps !

In English, there are at least two meanings of "path". One is used in the PostScript language and in illustration programs. The other is a shorter form of "file path," the location of a file. It seems by context you're referring to the latter.

I think you're trying to do some kind of file operation, but that cannot be done in the InDesign interface. You've posted this in an inappropriate location.

Are you trying to do something with an InDesign Server? In that case, post in this location:

Or are you using scripting to make changes in file locations? In that case post in this forum:

I think you're more likely to need some kind of script to change more than one path at a time. Ask in the Scripting forum:
