Indesign performing horribly in my pc

Ever since I bought it, the app have visual performance issues, making texts become invisible right aftes editing it, deforming fonts, having delays after copy and paste commands and many other issues that makes using the app really annoying.

Anyone pls, knows whats the cause of such problem? Indesign is 21.1 and I have a RTX 5060, 16gb ram, i5 and the app runs from an SSD.

Thanks in advance.

Beyond that, the i5 is pretty old--about 17 years old. Unfortunately, not much you can do about that except get a new system.

I don't think that a system with a 50-series RTX GPU is going to be using a first-gen i5; more likely that Cristiano's system has an i5 from one of the last few generations of i5s. Probably a complete system replacement isn't an ideal first step for troubleshooting.

Additionally, at least one of the issues that Cristiano describes already has a thread about it:

making texts become invisible right aftes editing it,

Here's the thread - as Bob correctly points out, there's a fix in the pre-release version that works for many (but not all) people experiencing this issue.

(Can't say that a bump to 32 gigs of RAM wouldn't be a good idea, though.)

The text disappearing is a known issue that I think is fixed in the latest pre-release.

First thing I would do is increase the RAM (max it out). Beyond that, the i5 is pretty old--about 17 years old. Unfortunately, not much you can do about that except get a new system.

Obviously, I was speaking in general processor age. There wasn't enough info to pinpoint the actual processor version.

Also, all the other CC apps runs perfectly, Indesign is the only one showing this issue.
