InDesign Print Booklet issue

Hello.
I have an 8.5x11 booklet that I would like to export into a printer's spreads pdf with the 'Print Booklet' option. I'm not able to change the paper size to accommodate the spreads. I've tried everything I can think of and some online research, but I can't change the paper size to be large enough to fit both pages of the spreads.

Below are 2 screenshots of the print windows and also the paper setup. I'm assuming the actual paper size would need to be approximately 23"x18" to fit the spreads along with the trim marks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

You need to install the Acrobat PDF 9.0 PPD, which will let you set any page dimension.

Follow the instructions carefully the PPD has to go in Applications/Adobe InDesign CC 20XX/Presets/PPDs

Your page size appears to be 11x8.5, so a spread page would be 22x8.5. Export without crop marks and inside bleed for print booklet to work in Acrobat. Are you sure you want a printer's spread PDF? Generally, a printer would prefer single pages, and printing to a PDF can be tricky. Another option is to place your InDesign file into a new InDesign file, shuffle the pages around, and export to a new (printer's spread) PDF. Here is a related topic on printing to booklet in Acrobat and including bleed:

Export a normal PDF and use the booklet feature in Acrobat to print it.

Thank you, I'll give that a try. Is there a reason why I can't change the page size in Indesign to accommodate the larger format of the spreads rather than using Acrobat as well as Indesign?
