Could someone help me with this -

I want to export the Indesign document as a Booklet (with pagination for printing) as I have to email as PDF to the printer.

The issue: no option dropdown to select PDF

No printer worth using is going to want an imposed document. As Leo pointed out this is their job.

Many printers would actually charge you extra to fix it if you sent it like this. Call them and get this clarified. If they still want this, find someone else.

There's no built-in option to print to PDF from Mac in InDesign anymore. As a workaround, you can use a virtual PDF printer such as PDF Printer or VIP RIser (I think you can get both of them on Mac App Store, the first one for sure; some features require a payment). I don't know though if they're suitable for professional printing.

The original PDF PPD can also be downloaded somewhere; you can try to search the forum for it.

A much easier option is to create a PDF from InDesign (through its regular PDF export), then use the booklet facility in Acrobat.

In any case, do you have any specific reasons to use the booklet option in InDesign? This is better left for your printer.
