Indesign Protocol for Linked Ai files?

Hello,

I'm wanting to know what happens when I export an Indesign file to print when there are linked Ai files (all vector assets)

I've exported my InDesign files to print and it appears that everything has outlined automatically & there aren't any issues.

However, I would like confirmation of this, instead of my just judging with my eye.

If anyone could confirm for me that would be great!

Just to further your understanding, when you place AI, you're placing the PDF portion of that file.
