I've noticed that Indesign Publish Online now uses GA4. I've got a client that wants to historic data on their documant. Is there any way of retreiving this information?

When did it change to GA4?

Hi @epic_creation0101,

Thanks so much for following up. I checked with the product team, and they confirmed that when GA4 was introduced in InDesign 19.0, users were given options to download historical data from the previous system. However, this option was removed in January 2025.

Currently, only GA4 is available for analytics, and there are no plans to migrate or access the old data anymore.

I completely understand how important this is for you and your client, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. If you'd like, I recommend submitting this as a feature request on our UserVoice page here: Adobe InDesign: Feature Requests. This way, our product team can track the demand, and you'll also receive updates if anything changes.

I know this might not be the news you were hoping for, but please let me know if there's anything else I can help clarify or assist with.

Looking forward to your update!

Abhishek

Hi @epic_creation0101,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how important this historical data is for you and your client. I'm currently checking the possibilities with our product team regarding accessing older data before the move to GA4.

I'll reach back to you as soon as I have an update.

Thanks so much for your patience!
