Indesign question

Hi

I have an old stand alone version of Indesign (creative suite) installed on my pc.

It works perfectly but the computer is getting old and tired.

I have a new computer and want to install/download a new version of Indesign from creative cloud.

But I have som important documents made on the old version, can I save them in some version and open them in the new version after I downloaded it?

Best regards

HI @Tord307899072iww :

Mike's right, and you can always install the free trial on the new computer and try opening one of the files. I would package the old file first so that you collect the all the assets (font/graphics). Start with one and I think you will feel better.

I archive old jobs and just opened up an InDesign file from 2004 to see what it looked like and it opened up without issues. Mike might know what version of InDesign that was, but it was long before CS.

What version is your old version? Current ID can open most old documents.
