Indesign restart

I don't restart indesign after exiting. I have to uninstall and reinstall it. I work on a Mac.

What happens when you try to launch InDesign after exiting? Do you get an error message? Have you tried resetting Preferences?

when i start it it immediately crashes. No reporting. without traces. how do you reset preferences?
