Indesign RGB exports as CMYK to some pdf pages

I'm experiencing some issues with colour changes in pdf export.

It's a digital pdf so used RGB colour swatches.

One RGB colour used throughout the pages is changing its colour appearance on pdf.

Same RGB colour swatch, but on one page it's shown as RGB, on one page it's CMYK.

Also, it's on the master page, so theoretically same colour settings are applied on all pages...

I think it's got something to do with pdf export and colour conversion something..but why is this happening?!

Possible. If, for instance, you were looking at Output Preview, Acrobat will use whatver Simulation Profile that is selected. Although that should affect all the pages.

Does the color shift occur if you looked at the file in another viewer, e.g. a browser or Mac Preview? If not, then you can point at Acrobat.

If you have any transparency or effects on that page and your Transparency Blend Mode is left set to CMYK then this will happen; change your Transparency Blend mode to RGB, export again and see if that fixes it.

Also, when you say it's a digital PDF, what is your endgame? If it's purely for screen, then fine, you can select RGB swatches. However if anyone that wants to print it out will likely get results similar to your "affected" page colours anyway, so it might be a moot point for that purpose.

You will have to give some more information:

1. What is your Transparency Blend Space in InDesign? If it's set to CMYK, if there's any placed items that require transparency, that entire page will render in the chosen CMYK color space, regardless of the state of the parent page.

2. What exactly are your PDF export settings, especially the section on "Output"?

Hey Brad

Blend space is RGB.

Just using the default export settings in the output.

I was just reading other forums and it could be the Acrobat settings causing this not indesign =((
