indesign scripts for editorial work

Hello,

is there a site with up-to-date scripts for the editorial folks to us in indesign? i found some sites, but the scripts date to 2014 and 2015 CC Indesign. they are on 2017.

I guess what I really need to learn and teach myself... is what exactly can be done with these scripts and what possibilities could be developed into something useful to my teams work environment. Thanks for the links everyone above... will read up!

    If you (copy-)edit files in InDesign you could do yourself no greater favour than (1) learning some GREP (it's easier than you've been led to believe) and (2) learn some rudimentary scripting (it's easier than you've been led to believe).

      Peter is right, most of editorial tasks are very specific. So, maybe a custom code for each of your tedious tasks are the best choice.

      My scripts was made to improve quality and save time in my job too.

      This forum and other comunities (like Facebook groups) are great places to be in touch with developers.

      Most of the scripts on my site (http://www.kahrel.plus.com/indesignscripts.html) are the result of scripting my way out of the tedium that comes with typesetting, copy-editing, and indexing. Maybe any of them are useful.

      But since many editorial tasks are idiosyncratic, they require custom scripts. Rather than asking for scripts for editorial tasks in general, specify what you're after.

          co-workers doing editorial just asked for places where they can look for scripts meant for editorial people so they can maybe find some that could be of use to them. they did not ask for anything specific...
