InDesign SDK 21.2 – No member named 'IDFileToFSRef' in 'FileUtils' while building MacFileSystemIterator.cpp

Hi everyone,

I'm migrating/building an existing InDesign plug-in using the InDesign SDK 21.2 on macOS.

While compiling the project, I'm encountering the following error:

MacFileSystemIterator.cpp:139:35
No member named 'IDFileToFSRef' in 'FileUtils'

Existing code:

void MacFileSystemIterator::SetStartingPath(
    const IDFile& fileSpec)
{
    FileUtils::IDFileToFSRef(fileSpec, fStartingFileRef);
}

It appears that IDFileToFSRef() is not available in the FileUtils class in SDK 21.2.

My questions:

1. Has IDFileToFSRef() been deprecated or removed in the newer InDesign SDK?

2. Is there an alternative API to convert IDFile into FSRef?

3. If this API has been removed, what is the recommended approach for updating MacFileSystemIterator.cpp to work with SDK 21.2?

4. Is there an updated implementation of MacFileSystemIterator available?
