Question

indesign SDK example—BasicTextAdornment, It seems that it cannot store relevant information in the exported IDML file.

In this example, the intention is for the newly added text attribute, `kBscTAAttrBoss`, to be saved into the IDML file. While the relevant script methods appear to have been implemented, the value corresponding to `kBscTAAttrBoss` is not actually being saved to the IDML file. Is this a bug in the sample code?Thank you.

Which version of SDK are you using. Where are you checking in the IDML. Does the sample say it should save it? Was it working it previous versions of SDK?

It seems this doesn't work in any version; I’m using the latest version, and it still fails. When I export to an IDML file and then open that file, the effects I created in the example are lost. The reason is that the `kBscTAAttrBoss` value is not being saved into the IDML file.

Yeah that is what I was thinking this may not be working ever. I never looked into the details of this sample in this respect so I was asking if it ever worked. Old sample rarely get any new updates so it is what it is. You can look at persisting the adornment. I suppose it is an attribute on text or something, been years since I looked into that.
