Indesign Share for Review

Hi all, I have a small probelm with the Share for Review feature i'm hoping you can help with. 

I am also runing the most recent update of InDesign 18.5.

 

I have a doccument, not huge or complicated that I 'Share for Review', it published fine and invitees were able to comment and I was alerted to those comments via notofications and email, all fine.

 

Once I had made the changes, I'm assuming that I can update link by clicking 'Update Link' to overwrite the exsting preview. However once I had closed the file and re-opened the file, I no longer have the 'Update Link' option, rather an option to 'Create Link' instead, effectively creating a new seprate link and not overwriting the orignal as I was expecting. Is this correct? Maybe it's me not using the feature correctly however I'm assuming this is how it was supposed to work.

 

Any advice much appreciated! Thank you!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. First, I want to confirm that the feature flow is similar to what you are expecting. "Update Content" should be used to update the link with the new changes. Would you mind confirming if you are still experiencing this issue? If so, could you please confirm your operating system?

I have tried the steps you mentioned with InDesign 18.5 and was not able to reproduce the issue.

To troubleshoot, you might want to try creating a new document and then follow the same steps. This could help determine if the issue is specific to certain files or if it's a broader problem.

Hi, yes I am still experiencing the same issue. The share for review feature works when initially publishing it. However once published I don't have the option to update the link. On some occasions i do get the option to update however when I try the progress wheel just spins. This happens on multiple files not just a particular file

 

OS is 13.5.2 (22G91).
