InDesign Shortcut for increasing font size not working when Opera is running on macOS

When I have the browser Opera running in the background, the InDesign shortcut for increasing font size by one point (cmd shift >) no longer works.

If I quit Opera the shortcut starts working again.

Can anyone offer a fix for this problem?

David

Hi David,

Sorry to hear about this issue. That's definitely not a typical experience with InDesign. We might need to troubleshoot this on a live session. Please head here (https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html) and select the chat button in the lower-right corner of the page. We can help troubleshoot faster that way.

Regards,

Srishti

Do you have any Opera extensions installed? Some browser extensions can "grab keystrokes" and keep InDesign from using modifier keys like Shift or Space Bar.

I did have an extension called Tabs To Front installed in Opera, I have disabled it but the problem is still there. I have the same issue on my iMac at home but it doesn't happen on my MacBook Pro so there must be something triggering it?

Have you tried editing shortcuts in Opera?
