InDesign stalling on launch on macOS Catalina

Since installing Catalina on my old iMac (late 2012) nothing of the Creative Cloud has worked properly. Before that everything did. Indesign just stalls at startup. Tried installing / uninstalling, resetting preferences, and other things I found online. I wish I could solve this. In the meantime I work with my Macbook Pro, but I just love my old machine 😞 I need help.

Sorry to hear about your experience. All available versions of Adobe InDesign(v2020 & 2021) within Creative Cloud desktop app are compatible with macOS Catalina & Big Sur.

I'd recommend following the suggestions given on this community post & let us know if they help improving the performance of the app. Hope it helps.
