InDesign starts only after clearing the cache

Hello, I have serious and urgent problems using InDesign. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to open InDesign, the program crashes immediately after startup and cannot be used.

I have already completely removed and reinstalled InDesign and performed the Basic and Advanced Troubleshootings, which have shown no effect.

The only workaround that currently sometimes works is to delete the cache folder in the library and then launch InDesign. It is then possible to start InDesign once. After closing the program, InDesign cannot be started then again permanently.

Since all solutions available from Adobe as well as reinstallation and updates are ineffective, I urgently need help from Adobe since I depend on InDesign to meet my deadlines.

Upgrading to Ventura 13.6 should solve this issue. Just be careful when you update because you need to scroll all the way down past the promoted Sonoma update to get to the Ventura update. InDesign is still not supported on Sonoma so you do not want to update to Sonoma yet.

Hi MN:

What operating system are you using, and what version of InDesign?
