Question

InDesign starts up, but blank pop up window prevents me from using

I just installed InDesign from the Creative Cloud to utilize the free trial.  InDesign starts up fine, but when it gets to the welcome screen, a lank white pop up appears over overthing and doesn't allow me to click anywhere.  When I click the X to close the pop up, the whole program closes.

I have tried deleted my user prefs folder to refresh the install, as well as deleting/re-installing.  I'm not sure if this is the Adobe sign in window, or just a message about my free trial but I am unable to use this program and I only have 7 days before the free trial ends.

Any help would be appreciated!

It's possible that as you have uninstalled and reinstalled the trial version of the application you may have stopped the trial working. If so, it might be worth contacting Adobe to confirm that you can use your credit card to subscribe to InDesign and cancel within a month if you don't want to proceed.

Do you mean 500GB spare of say a 1000GB  hard disk?

Try unticking GPU Performance in InDesign Preferences.
