Question

Indesign Textumfluss

Hallo liebe Alle,

@julia_7626

Can you select your "path" with Direct Selection Tool and post a new screenshot?

Hi Robert,

the last picture is the one with the "path" (black line) I drew in Illustrator to test if InDesign's text wrapping wouled react to this.

But your black line isn't your text wrap - at least not what InDesign recognises.

Hello @julia_7626,

Thank you for reaching out with your issue. It sounds like you're having trouble with text wrapping around a graphic in InDesign. Would you mind confirming the below?

  1. Could you please let us know which version of InDesign (or Illustrator) you are using and the details of your operating system? This information can help us provide more accurate guidance.

  2. Since you mentioned that you didn't create the objects yourself, it's possible that there might be some properties or settings applied to these objects that are affecting the text wrap. Try selecting the object and checking its properties in the "Object" menu.

  3. Ensure that the text wrap settings are correctly applied. You can find these settings under "Window" > "Text Wrap". Make sure the correct wrap option is selected and adjust the offset values to see if that helps.

  4. You mentioned that the "Ignore text wrap" option is disabled. This option should be unchecked for the text to wrap around the object. If it's greyed out, it might be due to the object type or layer settings.

  5. Check the layer order to ensure that the text box and the graphic are on the correct layers. The text box should be on a layer above the graphic for the wrap to work properly.

Please try these steps and let us know if the issue persists.

Best,

Abhishek Rao
