InDesign: Unable to Export JPEGs or PNG files to a SMB2 Share Local export is ok

Hi,

We are replacing our old NAS storage with a new platform (EMC Isilon). Our Marketing dept use InDesign on Macs (v10.11) and are now unable to export jpegs and png file to the file share on the NAS. If they try and export these files to the local file system all is ok. Exporting PDFs to the new Share this works fine.

I have asked the user if they are using special characters in the file names and they are not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Rob

    Hi Rob,

what is the version of InDesign you are using?

There was one bug with exporting JPEG and PNGs of whole pages ( not of selected items ) where a slash / occurs in the name of the exported file. Maybe the slash is somewhere in a folder name when exporting to the new platform?

That bug was fixed with CC 2018.1 that was released this week.

    Regards,
    Uwe

    Thanks for the Reply Uwe,

They are currently running version CC2017, I will request them to upgrade to CC2018.

However, I have mentioned the special characters in the file name and they have changed the filename to test.jpg and this still won't export.

    Regards,

    Rob
