InDesign Update Modified Links Button

I have several InDesign documents that have links that need to be updated. I thought there was a way to click on the UPDATE MODIFIED LINKS and hold down OPTION or another key and it would then automatically open and update all the documents.

No, in the Links panel, holding down the Option key when clicking Update Link allow you to update all the links.

 

There is no built-in feature to update links in multiple InDesign documents. 

 

There me scripts or plug-ins which have that feature (which I'm unaware of) but it's not a built-in feature.
