Indesign v18.1 - Interactive PDF buttons not working correctly the first time

In regards to exported interactive PDF's from indesign, anyone experience the issue with buttons that have the "show/hide" action, only work properly AFTER you select a navigation button and then return to that page? After I've done this though out the document, everything works flawlessly. Any suggestions?

 

FYI The published online version works great, and I have buttons, pop ups, and background imagery in seperate layers. Happy to provide further info regarding the document. (however I can not provide the document itself due to confidentiality).

My usual advice stands...don't use them. They're likely to fail anywhere but Acrobat and even there they can be wonky.

BTW, there's little reason to use them in Publish Online. Multi state objects are a much better choice.
