Indesign Won't Place Photos - MacOS

In the last 48 hours, my InDesign only gives me the spinning wheel when I try to place a photo. It doesn't matter the file. I've rebooted my MacBook, reset preferences, and even uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign with no difference.

Hello!

Thank you all for the great advice! It turned out it was an issue with OneDrive (where all my photos are stored.)

Hi @jborgstrom,

Hope you're doing well!

We would like to follow up on your issue. Are you able to solve the issue by following our expert advice? If not, please share the file's location and the photo's location. It might be a conflict in the location of the file and Photo which is causing the spinning wheel.

Please feel free to update the discussion if you need further assistance from us.

We would be happy to help.

Thanks,

Harshika

It would also help if you could give information about your system: Please tell us what operating system (exactly) you're running. Please tell us (exactly) what InDesign version you're using.

Was there any change in your system recently?

Reinstalling rarely fixes everything - you can do a complete reinstall using the
Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

---------

Before you go that route:

Any anti-virus installed/ updated recently?

Any pending updates to the OS?

Can you start in Safe Mode -and does InDesign work normally? If so, there's another app clashing.

Can you start as a new user - does InDesign work Normally?
