Question

InDesign Won't Print

I recently upgraded to Mojave. I have the Adobe Creative Suite Premium and a Canon ip3500. Printing from the internet and PDF work fine.  Illustrator CC 2019 and InDesign CC 2019 won't print directly from the app. I find it silly and inefficient to save a document as a PDF for printing. What happened and how do I fix it?

Thank you.

Early versions of InDesign are not compatible with Mojave.

You may feel it's silly and inefficient to print from a PDF (PDF/X-4 is usually recommended), but that is the industry standard workflow.

I have InDesign CC 2019. According to Adobe CC it is the latest.

Industry standard for… print professionals? Thanks Adobe for exclusive behavior and trite understanding of the rest of us.

This is a user-to-user forum, if you want to make a comment to Adobe use this: Adobe InDesign Feedback

Quick follow up. When I send the file to print, the printer goes through the motion but all I get is a super faint outline of the art. The image is a solid fill of 100% black. The printout is a 20% outline of the vector image.

Also I went to Canon's website. The driver download page says…
There is no driver for the OS Version you selected. The driver may be included in your OS or you may not need a driver.
