InDesign won't quit after closing project

happened to me as well on macOS 12.6.8.

I suppose it had to do with being offline; no internet connection at that time.

And maybe another factor (some speculation here):

It seems that InDesign 18.5.0 permanently is checking internet connection when either a document is open where placed and linked images point to a server volume once connected by a VPN or, and that is new to me, when a script should be loaded to the user's scripts folder when an alias is used for the folder the script is located and that alias cannot be resolved because the server that holds the folder is offline.

Ok good. 18.5 seems to have a lot of issues for a point update. I'm still holding off on the upgrade. 

Is everything working ok now?
