In addition to what our experts have asked, if you have not manually saved your changes to an InDesign file and you're unable to find any cache or temporary file related to InDesign, your work may be lost. However, there are a few things you can try to recover your unsaved changes:
 

1. Recent files: Open InDesign and check the "File" menu for a "Recent Files" section. It might display a list of recently opened files, including the one you worked on. 
2. Document recovery: When you launch InDesign after a crash or improper shutdown, it usually detects any unsaved changes and prompts you with a recovery dialog. However, this feature might not work if you close the program intentionally without saving. Still, it's worth relaunching InDesign to see if it offers any recovery options.

First, please provide more info. What are your InDesign and operating system versions? What does the small amount of content that remains look like? Is it possible that you simply look at master pages and not document pages? What kind of export operation did you perform after which some content supposedly disappeared? Is your file saved locally, on a network, or on a cloud storage?
