Installed Plugins not displayed in Plugins Panel

Dear community,

In InDesign 20.4.1 on Sequoia 15.5, installed plugins (Creative Cloud tells they are installed) don't show up in the Plugins Panel. That panel only says Get started by installing … Discover Plugins. What am I missing here?

Thanks!

Hi @Lavitas Macutis,

Thank you for sharing all the details and screenshots, that really helps. As Anubhav mentioned, I see from your screenshot that you have the MATE plugin and the QR Checker installed. On the Creative Cloud desktop app, for each installed plugin, there's an option called "Where to find it" if you click on the three dots next to the plugin name. This section guides you exactly where to access the plugin within the application.

As per that guidance, you should find the MATE plugin and the QR Checker under Windows Menu > Extensions in InDesign. Please give this a try and let me know if you're able to access it there.

Looking forward to hearing how it goes!

Hello @Lavitas Macutis,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're having accessing your plugins in Illustrator. Could you try going to Plugins on your Creative Cloud desktop app and searching for the plugin? Then, select the More options icon and select Where to find it to see if it helps (https://adobe.ly/3TlVVr5).

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Anubhav,

I don't have trouble accessing plugins in Illustrator but, as I wrote, in InDesign 20.4.1 (this is the InDesign forum). I found the plugins on my Creative Cloud desktop app. That's where I installed them, and as I said, Creative Cloud tells me they are installed: I open my Creative Cloud desktop app, select Apps (left side bar), All apps, then the three dots next to the Open button of InDesign, first entry is Manage Plugins. I choose that, and the page tells that two plugins are installed. Looks like this:

In InDesign however, Plug-Ins > Plugins Panel :

Clicking Discover Plugins takes me here:

In short, this means that installed InDesign plugins are inaccessible from within InDesign. Unless I'm missing something.

Any idea?

Thanks!!

Hello @Lavitas Macutis,

Sorry for the confusion. After installing the plugin, kindly try restarting InDesign and launching the plugin from under the Window > Extension menu to see if it is accessible there.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
