Interactive Buttons Not Working in EPUB on iBooks (MacBook)

File designed in InDesign. The hover/ roll over effects do not work/ preview in EPUB format. Using a macbook and viewing with iBooks. Also exported as a fixed layout EPUB. Have searched Google and cannot figure out why this is happening. As not on Windows. And using the recommended software to preview. Please advise.

Still not working. Even things like rollovers for buttons.

I'm sorry to hear that the issue persists. Please try few additional steps:

1. Make sure the interactivity settings for buttons are correctly configured in InDesign. Some interactive features may not be fully supported in iBooks.

2. Try viewing the EPUB file in a different reader (like Adobe Digital Editions) to check if the buttons work elsewhere. This can help determine if the issue is specific to iBooks.

3. Double-check the export settings in InDesign. Ensure that all interactivity is set to be included in the Fixed Layout EPUB export.

 

If possible, please share a screen recording of the workflow you're following. It will help us identify any potential issues in the process.
