Hi all!

I've been planning an interactive pdf for people to use on their mobiles at an event this June. The document will be a map of the venue where patrons can search for a specific talk or workshop and be able to find it on the map, it might come up highlighted on the map as well as the key code where its 1. Thinking about Ideas by Andrew Mackin (as an example. There would be a list of over 90 items on this list and a colour coded map. Is this possible? Ive nailed the search bar with javascript but it doesn't quite work as expected.

You'll never get this to work with a PDF, especially for mobile devices.

Hire an Android/iOS developer to come up with an app.

Regardless of what you do, InDesign is not going to cut it for this.

Adobe indesign is not the correct tool for this. HTML5 canvas and javascript would be a great option for this. you can still work in adobe illustrator for your art and export svg..
