Interactive PDF for Goodnotes

Hello. I have created interactive PDF in InDesign and want to use it on Goodnotes. All links between pages work fine in PDF readers, but when I import it to Goodnotes all "buttons" are gone. Nothing that was linked is visible. Other elements, such as background, is visible.

Interactive PDF from Canva works fine on Goodnotes, just from Indesign it does not work.

Answer that it is interactive PDF that does not work is not an answer, because whole etsy is full of huge digital planners which are done in InDesign and work fine on note taking apps.

Thanks in advance!

Interactive PDF is nothing but a crapshoot. You will need to take note of the fact that when you export you are exporting an Adobe PDF and beyond Acrobat or Reader you are pretty much rolling the dice.

Hello. Okey, then other question. Is there a difference when you export interactive pdf from Windows InDesign and Mac InDesign? Because somehow from Mac interactive pdf works fine. Thank you!

Normally, there should be no difference. Try to contact Goodnotes customer support and see if they have any answers and/or desire to address this situation.

The only PDF viewer that supports all PDFs is Acrobat. Check what elements from Canvas are supported. They might be in PDF print be found. Often you get in print PDFs more reliable elements than in interactive PDFs.

I have checked differences between Canva and InDesign file - version of pdf. Canva uses 1.4 and InDesign uses 1.7. Do you know how to export interactive PDF to older 1.4 version? Thank you!
