Invisible endnotes

Hi all,

Has anyone had any experience creating invisible endnotes in InDesign? This article was helpful (“Invisible” Endnotes - CMOS Shop Talk), but didn't really tell me how to make the endnotes in text disapear. I could make them tiny and white, but the space for them would still be there so some of them would end up looking like double spaces.

Any advice you all have would be great.
