Can I export pdfs from Indesign CS 6 and CS 5.5 using Acrobat pro 2017?

Exporting PDF from any version of InDesign has no need for any version of Acrobat to create the PDF itself. The PDF export code is within the InDesign product. You only need Acrobat or Reader to view/print the resultant PDF file or with Acrobat, perform other PDF file manipulations including Preflight, edits, etc.

And yes, Acrobat Pro 2017 or Acrobat Pro DC is fully compatible with the PDF exported from any version of InDesign.

Note however, that if your older versions of InDesign were either part of one of the Creative Suite packages that included Acrobat, you should uninstall those older versions of Acrobat prior to installing the newest Acrobat. Contrary to what some might tell you, Acrobat really isn't setup for concurrent installation of multiple versions of Acrobat or even Acrobat and Reader of the same version.
