I tried to update the software the other day and I'm having issues. How much space is needed to update Adobe Software? Do you need more than 2.5 gb free to do updates?

Yes. The system requirements for 20.2 include:

  • 3.6 GB of available hard-disk space for installation
  • Additional free space required during installation (cannot install on removable flash storage devices)

Thanks @Barb Binder  I was low on storage space. I rebooted my machine and recovered file space enough to do the installation.

...and in any case, if your question implies that you don't have more than 2.5 GB free on your drive, then you have way bigger issues than Adobe updates. You need much more than 2.5 GB for your machine to function normally (at least 60 GB in general, but preferably more, and it also depends on other factors such as your machine specs, disk size etc.)
