I have a client with a book that needs to be composed in InDesign 2023 (v. 18). Is that version still available for download?
No, InDesign 2023 and earlier isn't available for download.
You can try to contact Adobe support. If you can convince them that you have a valid case for specifically using InDesign 2023, they might provide you with a download link (but don't count on it).
