Question

Is it possible: One click to make images or text boxes auto fit into the typearea or column width?

I've been looking for a long time and there isn't much available information on scripts.

There are some scripts on the web, they only adapt to margin, and don't include bleed.

Any of my friends want to support one?

I'm all about setting object styles and building shortcuts for each file now.
The actual efficiency is still not good enough.

Thank you very much.

Create an object style withthe width of a column and appropriate fit to frame options. Text frames can and should be divided into colums and align with dthe page margins anyway.

I don't know if we have enough info to help you further on this one - it's not entirely clear to me what you're asking.

But based on your query as I understand it.

Object Styles can be set to fit to a certain size. Of course, you need to set this up.

You can search for plugins/scripts

Maybe this will make it clear.
A script: make the diagram or text box fit the column width. A shortcut key F3 could be set
A script to make a diagram or text box fit typearea (layout area), with shortcut F4

Also, the script can automatically determines whether a picture or a text box.
