Is there a script or something to add a search bar to the paragraph and object style panels?

I have a very large book and it has a lot of styles in it. They are labelled and grouped and organised as much as possible but it's something I'm working on over a very long period and sometimes the client takes a 6 month break and when I come back it's a bit much to remember where everything is.

A search bar in the panel would be SO useful. I have the most used ones already set up with shortcuts but the less used ones, a search bar to find them in the list and click to apply would be so helpful, as opposed to having to open and close all the groups and scroll up and down the list looking.

I can't be the only person that would find this useful?

@Isoneryum you can achieve a result similar to what you ask using the Quick Apply panel. (Edit menu > Quick Apply — remember the keyboard shortcut!) I suggest you turn off everything except the styles you are interested in, eg. maybe you only want paragraph styles and character styles, so turn everything else off in the quick apply menu. I think you must do this with no documents open or the changes won't apply to new documents.

Would that help in your case?
