Question

Is there a "search and place" function in InDesign?

Hi all.

I have a RTF-file with 100 pages of text. In this text there are alot of places where there are a "plain text string" - each string is the filename for an EPS file which is located outside of the RFT file.

I want to know if I can use InDesign to place the RTF file, and then start a "search and place" function, where it searches for the strings and at each place places the EPS file. Is this possible? It would be very nice because there are like a thousand EPS files to be placed!

Hope you can help!

A before and after screen shot would help

A before/after screenshot of what?

Doesn't my original post describe the problem enough?

I've moved this to the Scripting forum. If it can be done, these are the folks who will know how.
