Is there a way to acheive one side of inset spacing AND round corners on an object style/textframe?

I'm trying to acheive both of the effects below, into one object. But every time I set my left-inset spacing, then go to round the corner, it turns the inset spacing to all sides.

Is this a known issue? I would hate to have to create a shape below my text frame to acheive the desired effect, especially since this is going to be used a lot in the book I'm making. I have checked similar posts but haven't seen a solid solution yet.

With text frames is here a technical limitation. But you can work with paragraph shades and frames to accomplish the same and fix it in Paragraph Styles.

What if you want different styles in one frame?
