Question

Is there a way to automatically relink linked graphics in a shared CCLibrary and file?

I shared a indesign file and I a CCLibrary with a lot of graphics and placed them and they are linked on my account. However, when I shared the file and CCLibrary, the shared account can recognise that the graphics are (supposed to be) linked but it has an error that is not actually linking the graphics.

Is there a way to auto link all of the graphics from the shared CClibrary? Or will she have to manually relink the graphics? Thank you!

Hi @sarah_2318,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please share the version of InDesign and the details of the operating system you’re using?

Currently, when a file and CC Library are shared, the links may not automatically relink on the other account, as the library items are linked to the original owner’s account.

To resolve this:

1. Ensure the shared account has accepted the CC Library invitation and can access the shared library.

2. On the other account, manually relink the graphics to the shared CC Library using Relink to Library:

 - Open the Links panel.

 - Select the missing link, right-click, and choose Relink to Library.

 - Navigate to the shared CC Library and select the graphic.

Unfortunately, there isn’t currently a way to auto-relink all graphics to a shared library. Let us know if you need more assistance!

Thanks,
