Is there a way to put in a formula to change prices from EUR to GPB?

I make brochures and flyers for my work and usually need to make both a Euro verison and a Sterling verison since we operate in both Europe and the UK.

This usually means I create the file with Euro prices and then once it's been approved I create a new copy and have to manually change all the prices to sterling, which is very time consuming considering there is usually 100s of products to adjust.

We always use the same formula (EUR * 0.88) to convert and was hoping there was a way to incorporate it into indesign to save time. (All the prices are a certain paragraph style which would make it easy to target them all).

Would anyone have any advice on how to do this?

Currently I use a text variable to change the € symbol to £ symbol but I still have to manually adjust every price which is a pain.

I also have all the prices in a spreadsheet if that is any help.

Any help, advice, or tips would be greatly appricated!

Once you have your two sets of prices, have a look at, under the Windows menu: Type & Tables > Conditional Text

It's designed exactly for things like swapping prices in a document from, for example, Euros to Sterling.

Two possible ways to do so... (there many more).
1. Use the script Price Adjuster > https://creativepro.com/files/kahrel/indesign/price_adjuster.html
2. Use the script Find Change From Spreadsheet if you use your excel file > https://www.marspremedia.com/software/indesign/find-change-from-spreadsheet
