Issue with text alignment in edittext box?

Hi-

Can anyone shed some light on this?

As per the image below, I have overfull text in an ExtendScript edittext box. The box shows the last characters, "...ued for Tender", clipping the beginning, instead of the behavior I would expect, the reverse: Showing the first characters and clipping the last:"Issued for T..."

Am I missing something here? Is this an InDesign or OSX issue?
