Issues adding drop shadow to section marker text in the parent page

When I add a drop shadow to a special character (in the case, section marker) in the parent page, the actual page shows the shadow as just saying "Section" instead of the section name. Other effects seem to work, I have bevel and emboss applied and it looks fine. Thanks in advance if you have a solution!
