I had a indesign file shared to edit at the sametime as someone else but it wouldn't open?

If things are working properly an InDesign file cannot be opened by more than one person at the same time.

If that is not what you mean, then you should check for a .idlk file left behind in the folder where you file is stored. That's the lock file that prevents a second user from accessing the file and it can be deleted after the .indd file is closed if the program failed to do so automatically.

No I didn't mean that. This file was shared in the cloud via the invite to edit feature. I recieved a link to it and could see it in shared with me but the the file just wouldn't open.

Well, beta features tend to be buggy -- you are testing to try to find problems and it looks like you succeeded.

We do see reports where cloud storage can interfere with lock file deletion butI don't know if any relate to this feature specifically.

Do you get an error message?
