Issues with Applying Parent Pages

Until recently everything in indesign was working smoothly, all the sudden I can no longer apply master/parent pages to blank pages I want to work on. Everytime I click "apply parent to pages" or "override all parent page items" it pops up with a panel options tab. I also can no longer copy and paste a master/parent page to blank pages or add new pages to my spread without it copying the last page I finished editing. Please help, I have no idea what I did to make it this way!!

Can you show a screen shot of your Pages panel and the "panel options tab" that pops up so we can better assist? I'm not sure why you are choosing to override the parent page items, as that means your are no longer using what is on the parent page. You've put the items on the child page.

Is the issue in all documents or just this document?
