Issues with Document setup and Export windows

I am having issues with some of the Windows that pop-up when exporting or when entering document set-up.

As you can see when I try to export, the window with all the exporting options is placed at the top right of the screen,

It is a bit to high and the top is out of sight. and thus I can not see any options that are above, nor can I move it down.

Same issue if I try to get into document set-up.

This does not happen when I use other adobe software such as illustrator and photoshop.

Please help! I have tried re-setting In-design... Should I try un installing and re-installing?

But is there a better way?

- Running windows on an MSI laptop.

Hello,

I'll be happy to help. I understand you tried to reset the InDesign. Would you please share the steps how did you do that ?

I'd suggest you to follow the manual reset process using the steps below:

  • Close all Adobe applications.
  • Go to Locations :
  • C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
  • C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Adobe.
  •  Rename InDesign folders to InDesign.old
  • Launch InDesign from CC.

Disclaimer: Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and InDesign will launch with default settings. This way all your old settings will be saved in .old folders and InDesign will recreate new folders with default settings.

Also, take a look on this help Article: https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/setting-preferences.html

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Ashutosh
