Issues with indesign changes saving after PDFing

Hi all!

 

I have faced issues with indesign changes saving.

 

After i finish making edits, i save the indesign file, then export it as a PDF. The next day my changes are not on the indesign document. Is this user error or a bug? Am i supposed to save again AFTER i export the document? That seems like more of a hassle and im not sure how it would fix the issue but let me know! Thanks!

    I have used InDesign a long time, and I have NEVER had to save again after exporting a PDF file in any version of InDesign.

     

    If it happens to one particular file, you could have some corruption in the file (totally unrelated to exporting PDF). You could try saving as an IDML file (File > Save As > InDesign CS4 or Later [IDML]. Then reopen the IDML file to see if the problem has disappeared.
