Jagged Text After Vertical Justification Edit in InDesign

Hi there,

I was editing my textbox options for a textfield containing few words and suddenly the type that was smooth before, becomes jagged. Before I was editing the textbox there were no issues and after it looked like this.

I had edited the texbox options 10minutes before this happened and there were no issues, but when I edited my vertical justification to 'justify', it glitched.

Is there a way to fix this or is it an accidental shortcut that I triggered and can I trigger it back?
Thanks in advance!

If it's happening only with this specific file, you might try saving the file as IDML: File > Save As > InDesign CS4 or Later [IDML].  Open the IDML file in InDesign. This can fix some kinds of file corruption.

Hi @fineartsfrauke,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble. Would you mind telling us if this is happening with this specific text box? Please try copying and pasting the text box into a new file and see if the issue persists.

You may try closing and reopening the file as well and see if that solves the problem.

We will try our best to help.

Thanks,

Harshika
